Welcome!Today is the anniversary of Cassidy Thompson's referral arrival in 2003, so it seems appropriate to launch our Red Thread Journey blog on this date!
Our family ~ Lianne, Bryanna, Cassidy, Nanny and Papa (Al & Florence) ~ will travel back to China on March 9, 2007 - to re-introduce the girls to their beautiful birth country and experience as a family the rich culture that is their heritage. We will really miss Auntie Kim who was such a huge part of our China trips in the past - but she is with us in spirit and will also be our technical back-up for this site!
In the weeks until travel we will post information about our itinerary, where we'll be going, and what we'll be doing. Of course, this trip involves not only a vacation to a beautiful country, but in some ways it is a journey to the past - to help Bryanna and Cassidy feel a real connection to the people and culture from which they came. (Due to the private nature of some parts of the trip, we may not always post a complete recount of every day's activities.)
So, come along! We welcome all of our family and friends to join us on our travels.
